Superfine Things in Evanston, IL!
I happened on a cool place to shop today. It is called Superfine Things, and is located at 605 Dempster Street in Evanston, IL with a telephone number of (847) 328-1046. The business sells beads and unique items, designs jewelry, and repairs jewelry items. Other items purchased on trips such as one to China are also sold at the store.
The store was very crowded with lots of “Friday after Thanksgiving” customers but Mr. Bernard Superfine took out some time to speak with me about the store. He said they call all their customers “guests” and treat them as such. He stated that they had the only bead room on the Northshore of Chicago. Mr. Superfine said that he had been in the jewelry design business for about 32 years, gradually moving into the sales area with art shows and flea markets He stated that the store had been in the present location since November 1st of 2005.
In addition to the location I visited there is another location at 1315 Chicago Avenue in Evanston also. Mr. Superfine said that they rented out that store to charitable organizations. Classes in jewelry design are conducted at both stores with prices ranging from free demonstrations all the way up to $30.00 for private lessons.
Why not drop by during the Christmas season, and see if you can find something to your liking?
