Tommy Nevins’ Pub at 1450 Sherman Avenue in Evanston, Illinois is a tradition among Evanston residents and business people as well as the Northwestern student population.  Last year, they served a free Thanksgiving meal to everyone including the homeless or maybe I should say particularly the homeless.  It was quite a good meal.

Candlelight vigil for “rolling fast”

Starting August 6, five Evanston faith-based groups are taken turns in a “rolling fast”.  These members are protesting the U.S. war in Iraq and are participating in the movement, “Troops Home Fast”.  They are demanding the immediate return of American soldiers.
