Cereality Cereal Bar & Cafe to open next month in Evanston
What’s more exciting than a new cereal bar coming to town? Maybe a celebratory party including champagne and cereal that took place last night. Just about 70 people ate cold cereal and yogurt last night at a ceremony marking the grand opening of the $185 million Sherman Plaza in downtown Evanston. Get this, the new store will sell 300 brands of breakfast cereal. I think this is more than exciting, maybe because I’m a fan of cereal, but also because the idea of having a cereal bar and cafe with 300 brands of cereal clever, original and very appealing. I’m not the only one who thinks this either. The developing company that brought the different retail stores to Sherman Plaza stated that the cereal bar was something that “strikes our fancy”. The new Sherman Plaza replaced a crumbling parking garage built in the 1960s, and brings forth the chance of huge success and appeal to the towns college students. The grand opening of Sherman Plaza marks a huge turning point for Evanston, taking almost seven years to complete. There is no reason to not celebrate and be proud of the milestone that is completing as we speak.
