Drive-by shooting effects many
Could you imagine riding the bus, on your way to school and witnessing a drive-by shooting? Well for many Evanston Township High School students, that was their wonderful start to the day last Wednesday. At Dodge Ave near Emerson St, police were called to the scene of an accident, in which five cars were involved in, and was caused by the man who would have been the victim of the shooting. The 22-year-old Skokie man was stopped at a light when an SUV pulled up next to him and fired a shot in the drivers side door. When the driver tried to escape the bullet-shooting SUV, he cause a three-car accident. Luckily, no one was injured in any of the accidents. However, the driver of the SUV managed to get away, and the victim had no knowledge of the shooter. Police are still under investigation. How does something like this happen? Does this mean that I’m going to be driving along and the car that pulls up next to me at the stop light could potentially fire a shot at me? It’s terrifying, and it’s especially unfortunate that a bus full of high school students witnessed the insanity.
