Evanston resident tied with Tiger Woods in 88th PGA Championship
It’s mighty impressive when you can say that you are tied for the lead with Tiger Woods. For Evanston resident Luke Donald, that is exactly what is going on. Donald shares the 54-hole lead with Woods at 14 under par at Medinah Country Club, shooting a 7-under par 65. Both Woods and Donald are just two shots clear of Mike Weir, who also shot 65. Woods’ 65 marks his lowest in a PGA Championship. Donald shot a 66 to land a spot in the last group with Woods. While most competitors against woods have always come out behind him, Donald has a lot to look forward to. Playing in Chicago is also a privilege for Donald, as he has been a resident here for the past nine years. But playing for the number one spot against Tiger Woods is quite the accomplishment, and no matter what, Evanston has his support.
