Fourth of July at Evanston IL

Evanston IL takes its Fourth of July celebrations seriously, with festivities starting at 9 am and lasting until the conclusion of fireworks.

At 9 am, you can play a variety of sports and family games at the various schools of Evanston IL. You can choose from Lincolnwood, Willard, and Crown schools.

The parade starts at 2 pm and starts on Central Ave and Central Park Ave. and continues down Central Ave. to Ashland Ave. in Evanston IL. Street parking is free for those driving to the parade. Parade visitors could also park for free at the Northwestern Parking Garage. Both the Chicago and Church street parking garages are available for parade and fireworks visitors, and are free after 7 pm.

The fireworks will be held at Dawes Park in Evanston IL. There will be a band/orchestra, of course. It is the Palatine Concert Band. No doubt you’ve heard of them. Fireworks begin at 9:15 pm. Parking is available on the street and Northwestern, Chicago, Church garages for fireworks visitors. Fireworks visitors could also take the Purple line to Davis.

See you at the Evanston IL 4th of July parade and fireworks!
