The 1800 Club Favorite of NU students
The after-work crowd drops in daily to unwind, but after a few hours, NU students file in and usually hold reign into the wee hours of the morning. The interior features wood floors, red hues and three large screen TVs, as well as a jukebox and seating for about 80. This popular spot can be whatever you want it to be: a lounge, a grill/restaurant or a sports bar.
1800 Club serves amazing appetizers, entrees and killer specials every night of the week. Every Saturday night from 8-11 p.m., get all you can drink for $20 (padding the stomach with $1 soft pretzels is a wise choice). Other specials include $2 wraps and $2 Bud Light drafts on Wednesday; dollar appetizers and $3 import drafts on Tuesday; and dollar dogs and $10 Bud/Bud Light Buckets on Monday. The menu features appetizers like bruschetta and baked brie, entrees such as broiled salmon and cheesy tomato and basil pizza and a variety of wraps, including the 1800 wrap, made with turkey, mozzarella, and chipotle mayo in a spinach tortilla, and the veggie, made with sauteed vegetables, saffron rice, hummus and mozzarella cheese, also in a spinach tortilla. Sister to Mullen s Bar & Grill, 1800 Club is one of the few 2-3 a.m. bars in the area.
